 Valentino's Displays sponsored charity of the year for 2012 is Children With Cancer UK formerly Children With Leukaemia, the leading national children's charity dedicated to determining the causes, finding cures and providing care for children with cancer.Funding life-saving research into the causes, prevention and treatment of
childhood leukaemia and other childhood cancers, and work to protect
young lives through essential welfare and campaigning programmes. Receiving no funding from the UK government, relying solely on voluntary donations from the public. Antonio Valentino took part in the Great South Run 2012 on October 28th in Portsmouth and achieved a time of 1hr 25 minutes. The Great South Run, takes place over a 10 mile course through the
streets of Portsmouth, passing landmarks such as HMS Victory and the
Spinnaker Tower. Around 25,000 runners will take part in this highly
popular run, raising millions for a variety of charities. The 10 mile
course offers a wide range of views
and historic sites along the way. Along with the thousands of fun
runners, club athletes and charity teams, will be a mix of celebrities
and elite athletes from around the world. |
